Gerard Pique announced via Twitter on Thursday that his girlfriend Shakira had given birth to a baby boy. But this was a wrong news, it has been confirmed.
Dad-to-be Pique fooled his 4m Twitter followers with a false baby news.
His tweet, in English, reads: “Our son is born! We are very happy! Thanks to everyone for your messages!”
Nevertheless. Shakira’s rep confirmed more recently: “Yesterday was Dia de los Inocentes, which is similar to April Fool’s. She [Shakira] hasn’t had the baby yet.”
Surely, that was not a bad Twitter prank from the FC Barcelona defender.
