Mario Balotelli’s girlfriend Raffaella Fico was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday night, as she was about to give birth to baby girl Pia.
Balotelli’s daughter was due on Christmas Day, but constant pressure apparently caused the Italian football wag to enter labour three weeks earlier than expected.
Raffaella Fico has not updated her Twitter page since Tuesday, preventing her followers to know much about the events.
But fortunately, the Italian media – and now English sources – have publicized details, indicating that Fico was with her mum on Wednesday evening, when she felt contractions and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Raffaella Fico and Balotelli’s daughter Pia was delivered in Naples, and it is reported that both the model and the baby are doing fine.
The Manchester City striker, who got yellow-carded in stoppage time against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, is now officially a dad.
Realistically, the DNA test that Mario Balotelli requested earlier this year could still take place, but this is only if he refuses to believe that Raffaella Fico is being truthful to herself by publicly associating the new baby girl Pia to him.
But, more surely, this is not likely to happen. Speaking to Time Magazine weeks ago, Balotelli clearly proved that he accepted the child as his, adding that his excessive love for the baby might even prevent him from being a good dad.
Regardless, Super Mario – who was seen partying with Moroccan model Emy Jammoukh last month –failed to show his loyalty toward his then-pregnant girlfriend Raffaella afterward.
Nevertheless – knowing how real the idea of a wedding could be in the near future – Raffaella has given her footballer-beau an ultimatum:
“Marry me or leave me,” the showgirl told Balotelli according to JulieNews.it.
With the birth of his daughter Pia, Mario joins Lionel Messi in the club of footballers who recently turned into fathers.
Will he marry Fico next up?
