Pro Evolution Soccer has had a lot of upgrades this year, and one that seems to attract a lot of attention every year is the improvements made to the players’ faces.
Top footballers such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar are slightly modified in PES every season, and many would consider them to be improved and more life-like.
Konami tries to keep up to date with players’ hairstyles, which can be difficult with the modern styles of footballers. But PES 2013 impressively includes Mario Balotelli’s blonde Mohawk and Sergio Ramos’s short hair.
Possibly, the most important aspect in the creation of the players’ faces is making sure that every elite player has a “real” face and not just an unedited or random one.
Thankfully, PES 2013 has given real faces to the best young players in the game like Eden Hazard and Stephan El Shaarawy, as well as 26-year-old footballers Radamel Falcao and Oliver Giroud.
These players – who all deserved the upgrades in PES following their performances last season – can be seen in the videos below.
