Raffaella Fico is pregnant and Mario Balotelli is the father of the child, it has been confirmed.

There is no need to have doubts this time, as Fico herself ended all speculations after she revealed the news in an interview with weekly magazine Chi.
“I called Mario while he was training with the Italian national team, the day before the game against Germany,” Cristiano Ronaldo’s ex-girlfriend said.
“I said: ‘Do you remember our dream of becoming parents? Well, that dream has come true’.
“I’m expecting a baby, and it is your baby.”

Happy news? It certainly is for Mario Balotelli, who could not promptly express his gladdest feelings.
“At first, he remained silent,” Raffaella Fico continued.
“Then he let go and said: ‘You gave me the best news in the world’.
“And the next day, on the pitch [against Germany in the Euro 2012 semis], he scored two goals.
Perhaps, the news of Fico’s pregnancy served as some kind of motivation for Balotelli ahead of that match…

Yet, whatever the case may be, it can sound surprising that the Manchester City striker made no mention of his former Italian girlfriend, as he went on to dedicate both his goals against Germany to his adoptive mother Silvia.
The Daily Mail reports that model Raffaella was surprised after she found out she was pregnant in mid-May. In order words, she only knew she was carrying Balotelli’s baby weeks after she broke up with him.
“I discovered I was pregnant in the middle ‘of May,” Miss Fico affirmed.
“I wasn’t thinking of a pregnancy. I went to a pharmacy outside Milan to get a pregnancy test.
“It is then that I found I was pregnant. But I only told my mother and brother.”

Although the couple were anticipated to get married by next year and build a family, their relationship ended after Balotelli’s scandals with Jenny Thompson, Holly Henderson and Chloe Evans were publicized.
Similar to the case of Real Madrid footballer Cristiano Ronaldo in 2010 during World Cup, the news of Mario Balotelli becoming a father comes right after his defeat in the Euro 2012.
Super Mario was visibly not at his best against Spain in the UEFA Euro 2012 final, as Italy lost 4-0 to the defending champions, pushing Balotelli to storm off the pitch and pour tears of sadness.

But it is all about excitement now with a baby on the way. In fact, this news seems to have made the headlines in timely fashion, so as to shift the attention away from Balotelli and his game in the Euro 2012 final for a while.
Even if the public learnt about the report late, there is still a reason to keep following the pregnancy saga.
“I wanted to wait for the right time to give him the news and I have not regretted it,” the Napolitean lady asserted.
Mario Balotelli and Raffaella Fico are eventually said to get back together.
