Victoria Beckham did not cosy up to her former Spice Girls mate during a photo call at the launch of the girls’ new musical Viva Forever in London earlier this week.
Posh Spice did not smile either, putting herself under fire from critics, as many disapproved her mood in the picture.
But Mel C has come to the rescue of David Beckham’s wife, insisting that Victoria Beckham was not against the Spice Girls’ reunion, or the release of Viva Forever.
Mel C explained that if the football WAG and top fashion designer was looking less enthusiastic than her Spice Girls mates, then it was all due to fatigue.
“It’s annoying when people say Victoria wasn’t smiling or didn’t want to be there,” The Mirror quoted her saying.
“She really did. It was a flying visit and both her and Melanie [Brown] were exhausted as they’d flown in from Los Angeles.
“She was so tired but, among us, she was on great form. It’s great that she decided to make the trip at all.”
Mel C added that it was not easy for Victoria Beckham, as she was in the middle of designing a new fashion range.
