EA Sports have announced that there won’t be a standalone video game for the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament, but that the FIFA 12 product will rather be expanded.

As informed by FIFA Soccer Blog, FIFA 12′s expansion for the UEFA Euro 2012 will feature 53 national European teams, along with all of the summer tournament’s official stadiums, pageantry and atmosphere.
Gamers will be able to pick their favourite countries and compete in an authentic online tournament mode against rivals.
There’ll also be and Expedition Mode, in which players will be able to create their own squad and compete against other true European teams.
The blog also reports that while 10 new Trophies/Achievements will be available, there will also be Daily Challenges after the UEFA Euro 2012 kicks off on June 8.
