The forums of FIFA 12′s publishers were hacked last week, but there were no real damages on the users’ accounts.
Dan Sheridan, from EA’s United Kingdom marketing department, said that the hacker did not do much apart from defacing the forums.
He explained that the hacker used “a very new exploit for the software which runs the forums.”
Sheridan assured users that there were “no evidence that any personal data was compromised,” and asserted: “The vulnerability we believe was used has now been fixed.”
EA Sports is currently working on FIFA Street 4, which is expected to be released on March 13 in North America, and on March 16 in the UK.
