FIFA 12 has totally defeated KONAMI’s PES 2012, becoming the best selling sports video game ever in the UK.
EA Sports’ FIFA 12 – which has sold over 5 million copies up to now – could already boast of being the fastest-selling sports video game in history, with sales 23 per cent higher than its predecessor FIFA 11.
GFK Chart-Track states that FIFA 12 earned $186 million by selling 3.2 million copies in its first week of release, and the monitoring service affirms that it has now made more money than any other sports title.
FIFA 12 finished at number one in the UK video games chart for the fifth consecutive week today, making it seven weeks at the top since its release in September last year.
